I really like the shapes and symmetry that's being created in your photos, especially in the fourth and fifth pictures. I would maybe suggest that in your first photo try and sharpen the image a bit to get more defined lines from the net.
I also really like the focus on architecture, I think these images are beautifully captured. For the abstraction assignment, I'd suggest to capture your subjects in a way that allows us to imagine what you're taking a photo of and does not clearly appear to be a building roof etc. Your second image does a really nice job of that, I have no idea what the subject is and that makes it very interesting.
Hi Dana. Your first image is "Spot On!" Those dark lines in the foreground against the bright circle in the background is just wonderful! Your second image is almost as nice, but doesn't quite have the elegance of the first image. With the roof of the Goodyear building, try cropping out the window and converting it to B&W. I think I'd find a replacement for the wooden roof structure and final convert the last image to B&W and adjust it a bit more in Lightroom. Good Luck!
Hello Dana, I think that you aced the assignment content wise because your photos are visually interesting as well as not recognizable, for the first two and the last image. The third one is lacking a little I think that it is cropped awkwardly which I am assuming was to make it more abstract, but cropping off the bottom of the photo doesn't add any value to it because we know that the bottom of it is windows and bricks. The ones that have color in them could use more vibrance or saturation because they are basically color against white like white sky or white roof, and the bottom one could be put into black and white because color isn't really helping it as an image.
