Katya Abstractions WIP

  1. You've clicked a lot of good abstractions. If I were you I would make the third picture black and white. Also, in your last picture I see trees in the right corner, I might crop them out.
I have to say that your 4th picture fascinates me, the colors look great and I can't comprehend the picture easily, which makes it a great abstract photo for me :) well done!

  2. I really like your ideas in these photos! Especially, I feel like I am dragged in when I see your fourth picture. I also like how you captured the curves in the second photo. I agree with the comment above that cropping out the trees in the last photo could make it much better. Also, I‘m curious what the last photo will be like in black and white. And this is just what I thought but if you can leave the color only of the small gold ball, it might be interesting.

  3. Hi Katya. I think you are working really smart here. Your images have a nice balance between the subject and the surrounding space. As mentioned above, you should experiment with cropping out the trees in the last image. I also kind of think they could and perhaps should ALL be B&W. Perhaps it's just what I like, but other than a blue here-and-there, these aren't really about color. Give it a try!
    Good Luck!

    1. Hi Katya, I agree with Andy about keeping all these images in B&W. Crop out the trees at the bottom of the last photo. Increase the exposure on the 4th image when you turn it into B&W and reduce the exposure a tiny bit in 3rd image it's a B&W image. Other than that, I really enjoyed looking at these series. You have a good eye. Keep it up!

  4. Wow! I love these images! You did a great job with composition and they are clearly well thought out. I really appreciate you attention to movement and shadow. I agree that definitely images 1, 3, and 4 would benefit from being B&W.

  5. Katya- these photos are extremely pleasing - it's almost as if they all fit perfectly with each other. The differing shapes and subject matter all come together to create one general theme of structure and dimension. I agree with the above comments that the pictures might look interesting in B&W, but, if that is not your preference, I enjoy them in color as well.
