EMMA EXPOSURE WIP
Note: Having a little bit of trouble with this assignment, so I posted a few more than 6 just to see if any of them work at all. Please give feedback! If they don't work, I'll start completely over for the final submission. :) :) :) :)
Hi Emma, I think getting up-close to subject and focusing on singular things when photographing a photo might work in your favor here. I really what you were able to accomplish with your 2nd image. I kind of like the 3rd image but I feel like it's missing something. I would urge you to get more aggressive with your editing. Go heavily darks and lights and gray on respective photos and see what comes out of them.
ReplyDeleteHi Emma. I don't think you are struggling at all, but I do think you can improve on this work. Images 1 & 2 are too similar. However I do like the extreme processing. Keep image #1 and re-shoot for a second White image. Image #3 is actually beautifully seen, but I would make it darker for Black or lighter for Grey. I think images 4, 5 & 6 are pretty nice for Grey as well. You are however totally missing works for "Almost Black." Try photographing subject matter that is already on the darker side of the scale. Think about deep dark shadows or photographing later in the day. Take a look at all the other works on the blog, it might inspire you! I don't think you are struggling at all, you just need to photograph a little more and I think you'll be in good shape! Good Luck!
