Great pictures Ashlynn! I really like how you came up with the idea to use blurriness in your 1st and 4th image so kudos on that! I may be wrong with my idea of self portraits but since in your picture the camera covers your whole face, it might negate the point. You could exchange it with a picture where we can see you. Your last picture looks nice, I would just reduce the saturation a little bit. Overall great job on your series! Good luck.
Hi Ashlynn, good job on these series! Got a lot of good images here. I like the 1st image however I would crop out the light trails at the top to make it a stronger image. 2nd image is good. 3rd image could be better with same pose but taken from above. 4th image is good! I'm not sure about the 5th image. I would probably replace it with something else or zoom out of the frame (uncrop the image). 6th image is good. I would also replace the last image. It's not visually exciting as your other photos on here. Other than that, good job! And good luck!
Hi Ashlyn, I really like your portraits! Especially, I like how you took the first and fourth photo creatively. Also, I think the vignette is giving depth to your 6th image. As the other comments say, I would replace or desaturate the last image. Or as another option, the last image might also be better in black and white.
Hi Ashlynn. Your use of movement in the first and fourth image adds to their depth and visual interest. I would continue to explore that in some new work. I would also suggest using space to your benefit, as most of these are tighter shots and the space can tell us a lot or can add more visual interest to you works. I would also encourage you to rework the last two images and create ones with better composition, more depth and ones that ask the view more questions. I think they need more visual clues. Good Luck! Andy
