Hi Matt, I am not feeling the first image. I would replace it. I think the 3rd image could be better by having less of the white wall and more of the person in the back with the person in focus. I would also replace the last 2 images as I think they might not be strong enough. For the 2nd image, I kind of prefer the white wall cropped out. But then, it looks fine with it. I am on the fence on that. I do love the 4th image. Keep that one for sure and keep taking more images! Good luck!
I really enjoy your first image. Your eye expression is intense which makes me stare at the image. I think that using the brush tool to lighten the right eye area would that this image up a notch, as your eye would be evenly lit. Your third image is my least favorite because the image isn't about a person, it is more about the white wall which distracts me from the person. Maybe consider re cropping the image.
What's up Matt. Love the work! I really enjoy the 4th photo. The shadows getting larger really play into your photo by highlighting your subject! For the portraits of No one, I think you should look to tell a story about a person who isn't there.. So maybe incorporate props or different items. For mien, I thought about someone I wanted to shoot, but couldn't, and then tried to create who they were through objects. Keep up the good work!
Yo dude, I really love these images. With your first image, it is very simple yet powerful at the same time. There's something about keeping it just B/W and having a self-portrait just include the eyes that really captivates me. My favourite image has to be the one with the shadows. I like really the aesthetics of that image and the fact that you kept it in B/W. Anyways, keep up the good work and good luck man.
Hi Matthew. Images 3 & 4 are the ones that are unexpected and the most aggressive! Those are really nice images. I think you'll want to go in and continue processing those. The color image seems dark and flat and shadows in image 4 could be brighter (not a lot) but brighter. I would love to see you rework the other 4 images with the same creativity and uniqueness as you did with images 3 & 4. Good Luck! Andy
Hi Matthew. I like all of you WIP photographs for this assignment. The first I feel could do more to tell us about the subject being photographed but I really like where you head is at. I am I huge fan of you second portrait and wouldn't change it at all if it was my work. Same goes for your 3rd and 4th photos I really like those. I think for you last two you could do better in term of subject matter. Best of luck!
